'Cause I'm Happy

Can money buy happiness? Sure, if you spend it the right way. Research shows that people who purchased concert tickets, a series of pottery lessons or simply a Tuesday night dinner out were happier than those who spent their money on tangible goods. When you are buying the experiences, you are getting so much more than the actually event itself. First of all, there is the anticipation of it which can be just as good a source of happiness and pleasure as the actual thing. Then afterwards, you get to recall all the events that made you happy for months after. Of course we also get some pleasure from material things but the trick is to buy now but consume later. Throw those self-improvement tips and mobile applications out the door and make a bonfire with the books. Just do not catch anything on fire that you do not mean to. Bask is what is already wonderful about you instead of trying to fix what is perceived as broken (here is a hint: its really not broke).

  1. There are some mobile applications that can help with meditation but it is ultimately up to the person to really take the initiative.

  2. There are even some website applications that help boost those happy feelings.

  3. On the other hand, learning how to create the mobile applications can also boost happiness. It is the novelty of it.

  4. If you are someone that is constantly in front of a screen doing web development or something of the sort, it is important to unplug completely.
